The WebGate iRec has a built-in
hard drive to store recorded images and 4 Video
inputs are available for external camera connection.
The iRec is an all in one camera, DVR, and network
server. It is ideal for small and large applications.
Video compression is done via Wavelet. Images
resulting in file sizes that are about five times
smaller than comparable JPEG images. Wavelet images
are also court admissible unlike standard MPEG
or JPEG images. The iRec is remote surveillance
made easy and connection to the Internet can take
as little as five minutes!

DVR security
i-Rec, as a DVR(Digital Video Recorder), has a
separate software "i-Rec Cam Viewer" to see the
pictures and to control the recording program.
(A software CD is included in the package.)
Up to 5 users can monitor the camera(s) simultaneouly
as long as those users have the softwares installed
in their computers.
But, only one user (for example, a manager) can
do playback or administration of the DVR at a
time.
