The Canon Remote Control Webcam System offers
easy setup and some of the most advanced control
and transmission features available. This system
combines both the VC-C4 Camera and VB101 Video
Server to create this top of the line performer.
Canon's VB101 Server
The VB101 is a stand alone Network Camera Server
that allows you to view real-time video and have
camera control remotely through the use of a Internet
browser. You can connect to a LAN (Local Area
Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), or the Internet/Ethernet
through a standard RJ-45 (Ethernet phone-jack)
connection. End-users have the option to have
direct dial-up through the use of an optional
PCMCIA modem card (standard RJ-11 telephone jack).
Ideal for live video transmissions and remote
video monitoring, the VB101 can be used with various
applications to see real-time video and have camera
control through the use of Canon's Webview Livescope
Helper Viewer (included), Java Viewer, or optional
Webview Livescope MV. Using the Internet standard,
your web browser can be used to easily control
image display and camera functions of Canon's
VC-C3, VC-C4 and VC-C4R pan-tilt-zoom cameras
through the use of Java Applets. You can create
your own web pages that incorporate the video
window for end users to see video and possibly
have camera control. This web page can be stored
on a PCMCIA memory card (not included).

Canon's VC-C4 combines great look, compact design,
and ease-of-use never before available. The VC-C4
is the most technically advanced and affordable.
It is designed for the users who want a reliable
P/T/Z camera they can count on for videoconferencing,
distance learning, general video and even enhanced
security monitoring. The VC-C4's shooting parameters
can be adjusted and customized for almost any
environment. A wide range of on-screen controls
and a 32-button I/R controller makes it easier
than ever to get the shots you want.
The VC-C4 is the most intelligent P/T/Z camera,
that comes with plenty of impressive features
that include: a 16x zoom; center mounting for
a smoother pan/tilt; a quieter, precision pan/tilt
mechanism with no shaking and minimal vibration;
intelligent image processing for higher compression
